How KCS battles work

The goal is not to make new fans memorize everything. The goal is to help them understand what is happening, why it matters, and where to follow the result.
1v1 battles
Official KCS 1v1 matchups put two dancers against each other with a clear card, public matchup, and battle format. Main events and undercards help fans understand the stakes before the battle starts.
Tournament brackets
KCS tournaments move round by round. Each win advances the dancer and adds to the larger tournament story, rankings picture, and battle path fans can follow later.
Judging focus
KCS judging looks at foundation, musicality, character, creativity, and battle effectiveness so fans can understand what judges are watching inside the rounds.
Season movement
Tournament round wins add points to the tournament rankings. The tournament rankings are separate from the official 1v1 ladder, and both help tell the KCS season story.
