Competition Rulebook

General competition standards for KCS prelims, brackets, official battles, eligibility, corrections, conduct, and event integrity.

Version 1.0Last Updated May 24, 2026

Official Competition

KCS competitions may include prelims, brackets, official 1v1 battles, exhibitions, tournament entries, event-specific formats, and archived results.

Competition details may vary by event. Event-specific rules may supplement these standards.

Eligibility and Participation

KCS may review eligibility, registration status, age requirements, conduct history, protected champion status, event capacity, check-in status, payment status, waiver completion, and other requirements before allowing a dancer to compete.

KCS may deny, suspend, or revoke participation when information is missing, inaccurate, late, unsafe, or inconsistent with KCS standards.

Corrections and Official Results

Prelim groups, scores, rankings, advancers, seeding, match outcomes, brackets, tournament points, and displayed data are subject to verification and may be delayed, corrected, or updated by KCS staff.

Public display of prelim or bracket information does not prevent KCS from correcting scoring, eligibility, technical, administrative, or rule-application errors.
